Our first issue we ran into was that we owned two small properties next to each other. One lot had the house and the other lot was vacant. Now our municipality requires that you build a primary residence before a secondary building is allowed. No primary residence was allowed on the smaller lot due to size restrictions so our only option was to join the lots together into one larger lot. This required contacting a licensed land surveyor that completed the paperwork for ~$2,500. They didn’t even need to come to Site which I found strange.
